New to the Instro-Surf-Spy SceneThe Ottawa Citizen, 5 Jan 2006. By Fateema Sayani The Reverb Syndicate is the latest from bassist Jeff Welch (ex-Suburban Pop Project and Fan Belt Seven). With guitarist Mike Bradford, drummer Mike Rifkin and guitar and keys man James Rossiter, he's launched the new band to create instrumental tracks for non-existent spy films. Those weaned on campy flicks will recognize the sounds. There's that dark noodly sound at "the reveal" -- the part when we discover the pretty lady is really on the payroll of the Soviets.
